The Phillies closed their weekend series with the Miami Marlins from Marlins Park in Miami. The scheduled pitching matchup was Roy Halladay vs. face Marlins Kevin Slowey. Charlie Manuel changed the lineup , gave Jimmy Rollins the day off, Freddy Galvis got the start at shortstop, Humberto Quintero was behind the plate catching Roy Halladay.
The Phils have been on a roll! Coming into this game winning four of their last five games and the Phils were looking to take their second consecutive three game series Sunday afternoon in the rubber game against the Marlins. But it wasn't an easy task as they had a pitchers dual on their hands.
The first runs of the game came in the top of 6th inning when Michael Young singles to center field, scoring Ryan Howard to make it 1-0 Phillies. The Marlins responded in the bottom of 7th inning when Chris Valaika singles to left field scoring Justin Ruggiano to tie the game at 1. The game remained tied until the top of 9th inning when Laynce Nix pinch Hit for Roy Halladay, and comes through in the clutch by hitting a monster home run to give the Phillies a 2-1 lead. Phillies Closer Jonathan Papelbon comes in and closes the door on the marlins for a 2-1 Phillies win, & in the process Roy Halladay picked up milestone win number 200.

The Phillies Travel to Cincinnati to start a 3 game series. Phillies will send Cliff Lee to Face Reds Bronson Arroyo. Game at 7PM
