Police are investigating a series of break-ins in Pen Argyl. Authorities say several burglaries and break-ins have been reported in the 700 block of W. Pennsylvania Ave., the 600 block of E. Mountain Ave., the 1st block of E. Plainfield Ave., and the 1st block of Davey Ave. All residents from Pen Argyl, Wind Gap and Plainfield Township are being reminded to make sure any surveillance camera systems are working properly and to keep your windows and doors locked. Anyone with any information is being asked to contact the Slate Belt Regional Police Department.

A 16-year-old boy from Allentown was reported missing on Sunday evening and could be in danger, Allentown police say Ferdinand Kaneza was reported missing by his family after being last seen in the area of North Fourth Street and West Greenleaf Street. Police said Kaneza's family reported that he only speaks French and Swahili. He is 5-foot-2, 120 pounds and has black hair.

An 87-year-old woman from Delaware, has died from injuries she sustained in an Interstate 78 crash Thanksgiving weekend. The Lehigh County Coroner says Camille Couzens was the passenger of a vehicle that collided with another vehicle on I-78 West in Salisbury Township on the night of November 26th.

A no-confidence vote is expected to be asked for this week against Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk. Councilman Ed Zucal says he'll likely bring up the vote at the city council's Wednesday night meeting. Many city leaders are reportedly upset about the mayor firing a city employee who helped spark an investigation into racism and discrimination at City Hall. The no-confidence vote would be an entirely symbolic move and would not alter the powers of the mayor nor council members.

About nine months after three Bethlehem churches merged, they have again merged with another church. Back in February, St. Peter's and St. John's Windish in South Bethlehem and Light of Christ Church off of Easton Avenue became Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church. Now, the congregation is merging with Rosemont Lutheran Church to form Blessed Trinity Church at Rosemont. That church's permanent home will be at 1705 West Broad Street after that congregation had been meeting temporarily at Light of Christ Church's former facility off of Easton Avenue.

Former New Jersey Governor and current GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie says the 2024 election is going to be "impossible" to predict. Christie, who is trailing in the polls, says on CBS' Face the Nation while Donald Trump is currently the runaway front-runner, the former president is facing indictments totaling 91 counts. Christie also noting that one of Trump's trials begins the day before "Super Tuesday." Most polls have Christie trailing in fourth or fifth place at less than five-percent.

The annual "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Campaign has begun and runs until January 1st. The campaign that aims to make roadways safer during the holiday season and crack down on drunk driving throughout New Jersey was launched by state Attorney General Matthew Platkin on Friday. The Division of Highway and Traffic Safety is spreading nearly 800-thousand dollars in grants over more than 130 police agencies throughout the state. During the 2022 holiday season from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve, at least 69 people were killed due to impaired driving on New Jersey roadways, according to the AG's office.

After the Eagles completely controlled the first quarter, the 49ers dominated the last three quarters and blew out the Eagles 42-19 Sunday evening. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni says his team had to play way better to beat a team like San Francisco. "We've gotta give credit to them too. That's a really good football team and if you don't come out and play your best game against the guys that they have and the coaches that they have, it's going to look like that," Sirianni says. The loss leaves the Eagles 10-2 and one game ahead of San Francisco, Detroit and Dallas in the race for the NFC's best record.

It'll be Penn State and Mississippi in the Peach Bowl on December 30th. Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin says his team has plenty to play for against the Rebels. "With a win in the Peach Bowl I think we'll become the only program in college football to win every New Year's Six bowl game and that's something that's exciting. And, obviously, it's our first time in the Peach Bowl, in terms of Penn State," Franklin says. Both teams are 10-2. Penn State is tenth in the College Football Playoff rankings. Ole Miss is 11th.
